Hi There, I'm a recent graduate (only 2:2)in Leisure & Sport Management. During my Uni work I did Change Management and Organisational Behaviour. I really enjoyed this work and continued it into my dissertation with reference to my golf club. GC's are mainly old fashioned, run by the members but are expensive organisations on there own to run. anyway I think you get the drift. (There are lots that need to change) This is the type of work I want to do as a career. Be a golf Management Consultant.I am passionate about golf and feel I would be very good. Where do I start? what experience do I need? and are the best consultants ex managers in their old field. e.g. GM's in golf clubs or corporate companies. Any advice much appreciated.

..sorry, didn't want to be perceived as politically incorrect but sometimes emotion is faster than brain.. seriously I can imagine that there is a small market where profound skilled consultants take over the lead to build-up golf courses as Interim/Projektmanagers, like in the construction industry. The references on the webpage posted are all abroad so you have to travel not only a lot.. this needs to be paid. So you have high acquisition costs. Look at your skillprofile and think about the value you really can bring in. Just want to be honest.. as a golf playing exec consultant.. take care!
