Yvonne

Does anyone know where I can get copies/examples of reports written by HR and Finance directors?

Not sure. Would be interested to see proposals written by other consultancy firms, too. Providing it's not breaching any confidences, of course.

Let's catch up again in 2025.

I've heard there is a sort of repository of this sort of thing called intraweb or something.

Tubes or cubes? I've heard cubes but I might have misheard that as I was trying to get to page 2 on an eye pad at the time.

Those i-Pad devices seem to be everywhere these days. I even see people using them on the trains to read books! Isn't it amazing how high-tech everything is these days. I do think however that many people are kidding themselves if they think they are a productivity enhancement. I used one recently and the functionality was very limited, to the point where really all it was good for was e-mails and web browsing. Couldn't really do any real work on it. And besides, I tend to prefer using the telephone - it's faster, you build better relationships that way and don't get dragged into typing out things all the time. I mean, a lot of people seem to use e-mail like some sort of instant messaging tool, and dis ain't Yahoo Chat innit!! Plus it doesn't leave an audit trail which can be handy sometimes. Only downside is that a lot of people don't answer their phones anymore, but you can usually leave them an answerphone message anyway.

I find email fine to get people on the phone, or where I have already established a working relationship and we can communicate quickly and in short hand. But nothing beats the phone.

Bushy we are a dying breed...

I would love to get a hold of those as well. They would surely help our company in our strategies! Any luck so far?
