advice and direction

#1 advice and direction

simon

i'm currently working in a senior position with a privately owned financial services business, in a board position and head of business development. i was initially employed to set up an employee benefits company for the group.

i'm looking to break into consultancy. i'm looking for a role which will stretch me psychologically and physically. my boredom threshold is very low.

i have two main issues i'm hoping for find some advice and direction on.

i) where should i start looking for work? agency, direct to employer etc.

ii) my current earnings package is well into six figures and i'm keen not to have to adjust that much- is that realistic?

i'm 32 years old. i would like to go into a turnaround situation, strategic consulting or similar for a financial services organisation. i am not keen to work in a 'stable and stale' environment.

talk to me.

Simon

Thanks for the posting. In the current environment you should probably seek the advice of one of the specialist recruitment consultants in this area. You'll find all the majors in the Appointments section (click on careers...). Good luck!

Tony, thank you for taking the time to reply.

I have looked as you suggest.

Are there any agencies in particular that you think would be best to approach?

My specific sectors of interest are within financial services, including employee benefit companies, independent financial advisers, insurance companies and fund managers.

I know the site gives basic information, but i'm looking for your opinion.
