Refuse to give references- Should I remove that job from my CV?

#1 Refuse to give references- Should I remove that job from my CV?

Hello,

I would like to ask. I have 1 year work experience in a very good company. I was resigned and not fired or forced to resign. I did not do something bad in my previous role. Everything was Ok, polite and friendly. But my manager does not want to give me references.

So I have my degree and that experience and seeking for a job. But what is the best option:

1)Tell the interviewer that I dont have references because my manager dont give me/we had an argument?

2)Remove that experience and to say that I was doing nothing that period?

Which do you think is the better option to get a job?

thank you!

Hi - Can you explore the possibilities of having reference from another relevant person in the organisation? I.e. Director, internal customer, etc?

Thank you for your response.

Actually I cannot use someone more senior than my manager. It was an IT consulting project in a blue chip company, but it was small and he was the most senior person I met..
