I am considering a move from industry to consulting and do not know a lot about consulting companies. I am seeking some advice on this forum so would appreciate any constructive views on pros/cons/tips I have 10 years experience and now am a senior engineer in the energy utility industry in a very reputable FTSE100 company. I guess with no consulting background the max level I can get is sr consultant? Also suggested target salary would vary widely but a marker for me is £75k as i already make £70k so anything less is not worth the move. I have a good resume having senior roles & good operational and project experience and also if relevant, a Masters from a Russel group uni. My target company is Mckinsey through down to boutique firms. Many thanks for reading my post and a happy festive prriod to all.
